Lilium was the creation by mother-daughter team, Phyllis Lill and Marilyn Harrington in September 2009 in Yorkville, Toronto.

Over the past twenty-five years Phyllis studied floral design in Canada, the US, at the renowned Constance Spry Flower School in England and with Catherine Muller in Paris. She successfully ran The Conservatory Floral Studio prior to opening Lilium. Phyllis now conducts seasonal flower arranging and wreath-making workshops in her Toronto studio.

Marilyn spent over three years in New York in the fashion industry. She subsequently studied floral design in England. Marilyn now resides in Montreal and is excited to be expanding Lilium into the flower box subscription business in Montreal, as well as offering workshops in Toronto and Montreal.

Lilium’s vision is to be innovative, sophisticated – with a European influence of integrating vivid colour tones of florals with foliage and interesting natural materials. Attention to detail is paramount at Lilium whether its teaching floral design workshops or curating beautiful subscription boxes.
